3INA The Bestsellers

Ever since 3INA opened their doors in Malta, the brand has fast become a firm favourite with women of all ages. Like every other makeup brand, there are products that are favoured over others by customers, so this time round, 3INA are promoting their best selling products of the moment as a collection aptly entitled, The Bestsellers.

The 'collection' has a vast number of products from across all 3INA product ranges. To me, a best-selling product must have excellent staying power and pigmentation, a good formula to work with and value for money. Read on to see if the products I have from The Bestsellers collection fulfil these criteria. I have The Longwear Lipstick 500 (€7.95), The Highlighter 201 (€10.95) and The Cream Eyeshadow 313 (€8.95).

All of these products are right up my alley in terms of colour and I am already familiar with the formulation of the lipstick and the cream eyeshadow as I already own a couple of other shades of each. Nevertheless, I am still excited to try these shades out. 3INA always come up with different propositions for makeup looks with every collection they come out with and this was no exception. Moreover, they came up with different combinations of best-sellers to create various looks! I opted for a halo effect eyeshadow look and red lips - a look that's perfect for summer nights out.

Back to the products I was sent, my favourite product out of them, is The Cream Eyeshadow. The colour is a sort of bronzy-gold and the mousse like texture makes for easy application and buildable colour intensity. I like that no primer is needed with this eyeshadow and that once it dries, it just doesn't budge or crease.

Next up is the lipstick. Red is one of my favourite lipstick shades - it is a classic shade that is always in fashion and has a somewhat classy aura; in fact, I am a firm believer in the mantra that red lipstick gives you a confidence boost. One word of warning though, be sure to scrub your lips before applying this lipstick as it can go on a little patchy. I wore this lipstick to a birthday party I was invited to and it stayed on all night amid all the drinking, eating and conversing. It definitely gets the thumbs up from me.

The Highlighter is a new product for me from 3INA. I expected the texture to be similar to that of the blushers but it's not. I found this to be less powdery and more creamy and overall it is a joy to work it. It can be built up or toned down depending on the look you're going for. Again, truly a must-have product!

#TurnOnTheNight with 3INA UV Collection Limited Edition

Summer is the time for festivals and makeup aficionados tend to let their creativity run wild with fun, festival looks. 3INA have just launched a new collection just in time for the various summer concerts and activities; the UV Collection, which comprises products that are subtle enough to wear during the day and turn the night on when exposed to UV light!

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few of the items from the collection:
- The Fluoro Cream Eyeshadow 402 (€10.95)
- The Fluoro Eye Pencil (€8.95)
- The Fluoro Lip Gloss 201 (€9.95)
- The Fluoro Palette (€13.95)

The packaging for this collection is to die for! Bright, bold colours that truly embodies the idea behind the collection. The only thing I am 'disappointed' in with 3INA limited editions is that the actual products have the same packaging as that for the regular products. I think it would be a nice touch if the limited edition products come with limited edition design packaging as well.

The star product from this collection is most definitely that blush palette - look at that bright leopard print motif! It's almost too pretty to use. Almost. Of course I have taken some pictures of it before swirling my brush into the compact to mix the colours together to get this beautiful flushed pink shade which gives a healthy, youthful glow.

Next is the collect eye pencil I have ever seen! It may look like a regular black eye pencil but under UV light, this turns into a beautiful blue shade. The cream eyeshadow is the one product you have to be very careful with; while the colour is buildable, the texture is so creamy, you have to be careful when dipping your brush in it just because it is so soft. The lipgloss is pretty straightforward to apply with it's doe foot applicator. It looks transparent with just a hint of orange during the day but, turn the UV on and it glows!

Here is a look I created using these products with pictures taken in normal light as well as under UV light.

How cool is this collection?! There are also some nail polishes to complement the makeup and there are 2 more cream eyeshadow and lipgloss colours as well. Discover the collection in 3INA stores in The Point, Qormi, PAMA, Mosta and now also in Valletta at Energy Complex (New Look).

3INA Art Freedom Limited Edition Collection

3INA just launched a new limited edition collection - Art Freedom. The collection features daring metallic lip colours, bold reflective eyeshadows, mirror nail polishes and highlighters and is the result of a collaboration with Lockhart Emroidery. The later belongs to Marie Sophie Lockhart, a Parisian-born, Brooklyn-based folk embroidery artist who focuses on creating unique designs to spice up otherwise boring denim pieces.

In fact, her philosophy for creativeness transcends effortlessly into this makeup collaboration with 3INA, which has also established itself as a creative makeup brand with a unique array of non-conventional colours all throughout their products.

To reflect this whole creativity concept I created two looks using products from the 3INA Art Freedom limited edition collection.

Look 1 - Metallic Lip Ring

For this look I used the green and yellow eyeshadows from the Eyeshadow Palette (€14.95) and I used the Long Lasting Lipstick 511 (€7.95) to create a metallic red 'lip ring'. I also used 3INA The Blush 100 and 3INA The Eyeliner 506 which are available in 3INA's core collection.

Look 2 - Halo Eyes

For the second look, I used the pink eyeshadows from the same palette to create a halo effect eye look and I paired it with the Long Lasting Lipstick 510 (€7.95).

I also got the Mirror Nail Polish 501 (€6.95). Application was a little tricky with this one as thicker coats are key to achieving the mirror look flawlessly.

I am really happy with my picks from this collection as pigmentation is excellent and staying power is really good especially for the price.

3INA Art Freedom Limited Edition Collection is available now at 3INA stores in Qormi (near PAVI), PAMA Mosta and at The Point, Sliema.

All For One | One Brand Makeup Look #1 | 3ina

Welcome to a new series on my blog where I shall be showcasing makeup looks created with products from one brand (or at least most of them will be from the brand I decide to showcase in a particular post).

For the first installment in the series I decided to go with 3ina, a new makeup brand that has recently become available in Malta thanks to Hudson Group. I was invited to the official launch a few weeks ago and we were given a few products to try out, all of which I shall be using in this post. I was given a selection of brightly coloured items and I though they would be perfect to use for a summer look while the season lasts...or this could very well be the look for an 80's themed party!!

3ina products

The Cream Eyeshadow no.305 - metallic royal blue with a soft mousse texture that dries to a shimmery finish.
The Eyeliner Pencil no.605 - matte, fresh mint green
The Colour Mascara no.100 - shimmery gunmetal grey
The Blush no.100 - shimmery light peach
The Longwear Lipstick no.509 - matte bright fuchsia
The Nail Polish no.106 - glossy nude pink

I am digging the packaging of all 3ina products and I like how they call their products with The which sounds like they are the thing you need to achieve this and that makeup look. I have admit though that I am not really a big fan of numbering the product shades instead of naming them but to be quite honest I think numbers make more sense when you have sooo many colours of any given product to choose from.

All products have excellent pigmentation and they lasted well throughout the day especially The Longwear Lipstick which lasted through meals and The Cream Eyeshadow and The Eyeliner Pencil which didn't budge a bit. A special mention has to go to The Nail Polish which I have been wearing for 5 days straight and I only have very minimal tip wear.

Event | 3ina Offical Launch

You might recall my Brand Spotlight post about the new, affordable makeup brand 3ina when I visited their store in Qormi shortly after they opened their doors. Well, last Wednesday, I couldn't be more excited as I made my way to The Point shopping mall in Sliema for the brand's second store opening and official launch.

We were briefed about the brand by the creators themselves who were flown in especially for the occasion. For those new to the brand, 3ina (pronounced Mina) is all about being unique and standing out in a good way, bright colours and generally just being the beautiful woman you are!

Colourful makeup displays make me happy and whenever I walk into a 3ina store, I feel happy! There's always something new that catches my eyes and so far, I haven't been disappointed with the quality of the products I have tried to date!

I'm currently testing out some products that were kindly gifted to me during the event and I shall be posting looks and reviews soon! 3ina shops are located at The Point Shopping Mall, Tigne, Sliema and at Qormi right next to Kiabi. The brand is imported in Malta by Hudson Group.

Brand Spotlight | 3ina

Last week, I had some free time and took the opportunity to visit the newly opened 3ina store in Qormi with my shopping partner in crime, Marija. For those who are not so familiar with the area, the shop is located right behind Pavi, next door to Kiabi and there are ample parking spaces available.

The store layout really made a good impression on me - all clean, white, bright and stands bursting with brightly coloured and more muted products alike - it is basically everything you would want a makeup store to look like. We had a thorough browse around the store and although there were a lot of products I wanted to buy, I resisted and bought only two items.

I would like to point out that the salesgirls there are very helpful and I was delighted to see that they are actually very knowledgeable about the brand. I asked if 3ina has been around for long and the salesgirl said that it is a relatively new brand with just a few stores in Italy, Germany, France and Australia and now Malta. For such a 'young' brand, I think it has very good potential from what I gathered from swatching the products at the store.

I look forward to visiting the store again soon!
