Review | Wjcon Automatic Lip Liner Bimbo

I have a list of products that I have yet to review and the next one up is Wjcon Automatic Lip Liner in the shade Bimbo.

I bought this a few months ago now to match with Wjcon Sublime Matt Lipstick 611 primarily but I also wear it on its own sometimes or even under a similar coloured lip gloss. The packaging is really simple yet innovative as it also incorporates a small sharpener at the back. I like that the colour of the packaging is the colour of the lip liner as it makes it easier to pick the colour you want. Ingredients are printed on the pencil itself.

Another thing I like about the packaging is that the product doesn't shave off when retracted back in place...which is not always the case with retractable products. Also, the cap closes securely.

The texture is very creamy and the product has very good pigmentation with high coverage and glides on easily. It is easy to blend and I find that my lipstick lasts longer when I wear this lip liner under it. The pointy end allows easy lining of the lips and it can be restored thanks to the sharpener.

I would describe the colour as a Barbie pink sort of colour with a matte finish. One thing to note is that although the product has a matte finish, it is not going to dry out your lips while wearing it. It just feels comfortable.

The brand's claim that it is long-lasting holds true for this product as it is quite resistant to water and doesn't smudge. Your best bet to take off this product is to use a waterproof makeup remover, otherwise it is going to take longer to remove. The product being paraben-
free is an added bonus.

I would recommend this lip liner to anyone basically and at €4.90 it surely won't break the bank!

The Wjcon Automatic Lip Liner range comprises 15 exquisite shades and can be found on sale at Wjcon shops around Italy and in Malta in their Birkirkara shop.

Best Of 2012: Lips

Next up in the Best Of 2012 series are lip products. Most of you know that I was in a love-hate relationship with lipsticks and favoured lipgloss more. Well, I am pleased to say that has changed! I am now the proud owner of a beautiful lipstick collection and I can't wait to share my favourites with you! However, I will start with other lip products and save the best for last!

First up are two products that proved to be lip saviours...literally! I forgot to pack a lip balm for my trip to Paris and the first thing on arriving was pop into a pharmacy and I got Bioderma Atoderm Levres. It soothed my lips in an instant and left them feeling smooth and supple. Definitely a repurchase if I can find a Bioderma stockist here. Product number two is E.L.F. Studio Lip Exfoliator, a product I had been waiting for ages to be available on the UK website and I purchased straight away as soon as it was uploaded! I was so glad I bought it and I have been using it every other day to keep my lips smooth and it also improved the staying power of lip products on me.  I will need a replacement soon! I have also been able to try out Essence Kiss Care Love Lip balms* which provide the moisture and care of a regular lip balm with a sheer, pearly tint and I can confirm they work excellently!

My favourite lip liner this year has been Revlon ColorStay Lip Liner in Nude. It matches my lips perfectly and is great for use with any lip colour.  This year I have also discovered lip stains and my favourites have been Liptini Lip Liqueur in 4013 Pink Lady*, and Catrice Liquid Lip Tint in 010 Red My Lips*.

As for lipglosses, my favourites were E.L.F. Studio Glossy Gloss in Berry Blush & Merry Cherry, E.L.F. Studio Glitter Gloss in Sparkling Wine and Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss in 020 Wood Of Roses*.

As previously said, I left the best for last! Here are my top lipsticks for 2012! Chanel Rouge Coco in 16 Taffetas Rose, Givenchy Rouge Interdit in 20 Illicit Raspberry*, MAC Lustre Lipstick in Naked Paris, Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipsticks in 030 Ginger & Fred and 190 The Nuder The Better.  All these lipsticks have excellent pigmentation and staying power and I am also very pleased to say that I have found the perfect nude in the latter Catrice lipstick.

Moving on, these lipsticks have sheer to high coverage and although the staying power is not as good as the ones above, they still cut it for my 2012 favourites because of their moisturizing formulas. Here are Catrice Ultimate Lip Glow in One Shade Fits All*, Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 206 Nude Pink, Kate Moss for Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick (matte) in 107 and Essence Lipsticks in 02 Sparkling Romance, 62 Rockin' Red*.

Make-Up Collection {Part 3 ~ Lip Products}

After quite a long break from my make-up collection posts, here is my lip product collection! I still have some more items on my wishlist that I need to purchase like some Catrice and Essence lipsticks as well as some other products from e.l.f. Cosmetics but for now, here is my current collection.

A word about lip product storage first; I keep my lipsticks either in the first drawer of my make-up cabinet or else, on the top of the cabinet along with other lip products depending on the frequency of use.  As for my high-end lipsticks, I keep them in their original packaging in the first drawer to avoid any disasters... and they never ever leave the house! In summer I like to keep my lipsticks in a container in the refrigerator to prevent them from melting.

I'll leave you to the pictures now :) Click on a product name for the full review and if you would like me to review a product that is not yet reviewed, then just leave a comment :)

Review: NYX Long Lip Pencil in CLPL20 Plush Red

Hello ladies :) I feel like I haven't done a product review in ages now as I'm busy juggling my studies and a bunch of other things so I haven't really had the time to do longer blog posts.  Anyways, today I'm reviewing the NYX Long Lip Pencil in CLPL20 Plush Red.

It is essentially a 'normal' lip liner, only longer! I got mine for free when purchasing the NYX HD Foundation (check out the review here) from an ebay seller.  Like I said, it is your basic lip liner pencil so there is nothing special about the packaging whatsoever; except that I quite like it being black as I think it looks sleek.

With regards colour and texture, I can say I'm pretty satisfied as the pencil glides on easily without tugging and gives a very good colour pay-off so I'm happy with that.  I cannot detect any scent to this product.  To be honest, when I got this pencil, I thought it was going to be more of a true red than the actual pinky-red it is.  However, it works pretty well with my red lipsticks so nothing to complain about there.

I like to pair this lip liner with my Max Factor Hint of Red Lipstick and I like to line my lips first and then fill them in with the pencil before applying lipstick to make the colour last longer... and it actually does!!

NYX Long Lip Pencil (top) and Max Factor Lipstick

So overall, I'm quite happy with this lip pencil which is just one out of a range of 20 colours.  You can get yours from the NYX website, ebay, or other online stockists.
