Event | Eau Thermale Avène & Lierac Paris New Launches

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending a bloggers' event which introduced us to some new product ranges from top French skin care brands Lierac Paris and Eau Thermale Avène, neither of which is new to this blog.

We had mini presentations about the brands delivered over sushi and strawberry prosecco and we also had the opportunity to sample the products as we talked about them. For more in-depth information, you can check out my posts about the respective brands here and here.

Lierac Paris is a high end skin care brand targeted at those who only want the best for their skin. The brand has various product ranges with specific skin 'aging problems' being targeted at all levels and for all ages. Yesterday, the main focus was on the Hydregenist line which will be replacing the Hydrachrono range. The Hydragenist range consists of two moisturisers (one for combination skin and one for dry skin) as well as a serum. This comprehensive range of products is inspired by tissue oxygenation and hence, the role of oxygen in relation to how plumped and fresh our skin looks.

We were also introduced to some new products from Lierac's top range, the Premium line which contains extracts of the rare black orchid, black poppy and black rose. The packaging with this range is as exquisite as the products themselves. Lierac also have more specific ranges, my favourite out of which has to be the Diopti range which consists of 5 different products that target different problems within the eye area such as puffiness, dark circles, wrinkles, etc.

Moving on to Eau Thermale Avène, this is a more medical brand so to speak, where all products are infused with thermal water from Avène, a small village in France and the products are packaged in a sterile atmosphere. Avène's product range has everything from cleansers to anti-wrinkle treatments and cater for the most sensitive of skins.

I'm very looking forward to try out the new products that were kindly given to me at the event. Look out for the reviews which will have a little surprise at the end ;)

Eau Thermale Avène and Lierac Paris are imported by Pharma.MT Ltd.

Event | Lierac Paris Sunific Suncare Launch

Yesterday evening saw me getting ready for a rather chic do at Settimo Cielo at the Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel in St.Julian's.

The event was all about Lierac Paris Sunific Suncare range and the choice of hosting venue couldn't have been better - a seventh heaven indeed with breath-taking views of the sea all around; the place fit the summer theme nicely.

Amongst the appropriately decorated tables, we were greeted with a glass of Aperol and I personally got the meet the lovely Dr. Raina Zarb Adami, who later delivered a very well informed and detailed presentation on skin ageing and the Lierac Paris products themselves.

Everyone could tell that Dr. Zarb Adami is very passionate about her work as an Aesthetic Surgeon and I really appreciate when someone actually targets a problem at the core. Working with Lierac Paris products herself and prescribing them to her patients who visit her Aesthetic Virtue clinic in London, makes her the ideal candidate to deliver the presentation.

Speaking from a scientific point of view, I appreciate all the research and scientific background that go through formulating the best possible products and honestly, I don't expect anything less from a brand which is at the forefront of targeting the correction of skin ageing.

Sunific offers a full range of sun protection creams bearing the best in Lierac technologies. In fact, the company has a patented UVA/UVB protection and offers triple protection to the skin against wrinkles, slackening and brown spots, all combined with moisturising and tan activating ingredients.

Two gorgeous models were going around us guests with the actual products so we could sample them and one couldn't help but to notice the effortless melt-in textures and summery scents they carry! Sunific also caters for after-sun care to further help protect the skin and prolong a tan.

After the presentation, we chatted the night away over more delicious finger food, canapés and drinks. A big thanks goes to PharmaMT for inviting us to be part of it all!

Lierac Paris is distributed in Malta by PharmaMT. More information can be found on the Lierac Malta Facebook page.

Review | Lierac Paris Mesolift Serum

When it comes to skin care, everyone loves a little bit of pampering and sometimes splurging on just one product can do trick. Luxury French skin care brand Lierac Paris fits the bill when it comes to the ultimate in skin care and today I will be sharing you a must-have product from this high-end label; enter Mesolift Serum.

I was first introduced to Lierac Paris last year when I was invited to attend the introductory meeting and subsequently the official launch by PharmaMT who are the importers of the brand. Of course on both occasions we were given some products to test drive (click to read my thoughts on the Tonique Éclat and Gommage Douceur) and now it's time to share my thoughts about this serum.

The packaging already indicates that is a luxurious product...an orange glass bottle with a glass dropper, nicely packed in a matching box which also includes an information leaflet.

The actual serum is light orange in colour and has a faint smell which I cannot really assimilate. It has a very fluid texture compared to other serums and thanks to that, you only need a small amount of product. The formula feels very fresh and it is rapidly absorbed into the skin.

Mesolift Serum boasts a concoction of vitamins (A, C, E, B5, B6), minerals (Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Copper, Zinc, Manganese) and Hyaluronic Acid known as Mesolift Cocktail which is targeted towards re-energizing the deep skin tissues and to help your complexion look more radiant, plum and toned. Mesolift Serum contains a 15% concentration of the Mesolift cocktail to combat the signs of dehydration, appearance of fine lines and loss of tonicity as well as loss of radiance.

I like to use the dropper and apply half a drop of my forehead and a drop on each cheek and then use my fingers to massage the serum after cleansing and toning and before applying moisturiser. It is recommended to use the serum for at least 4 consecutive weeks and you can continue using it all year round. I personally use it every night and have seen a difference in the way my skin looks and feels.

This is actually my first serum and I can definitely see the benefits of using such a product...I'm not 15 anymore so my skin needs that extra boost to help it maintain a youthful appearance and I'm glad I found it in Mesolift Serum.

Consequently, I definitely recommend this product. I would describe the serum as a pick-me-up for the skin especially after night duties at work...my skin never looks fatigued or dehydrated anymore!
