Review: Born Pretty Store Hello Kitty Nail Stickers

I have been meaning to do this review for ages now and since I have some free time to myself after a very hectic and busy day at work, I have compiled a list of products I have not yet reviewed and since these have been in my possession for quite some time, I decided to review them finally!

I got the stickers for free with a facebook promotion that Born Pretty Store were running on their facebook page.  Born Pretty sell all kinds of nail art supplies as well as some make-up and hair products and other lifestyle gadgets.

On to the actual review now! I got the stickers around 2 weeks after ordering them and Mum opened them while I was doing a client's nails and since my client loves Hello Kitty, we decided to put them to good use there and then!

The first thing I noticed about them is the cute pink packaging they come in as well as how easy they come off their protective backing.  They are really easy to adhere to the nails and you get 4 different Hello Kitty motifs for a total of 54 stickers.

The stickers are small enough to fit the nails are therefore also suitable for use by little girls.  They are all glittery and feel 3D but not so much that they will bother you.  The stickers stick on easily and they lasted for 4 whole weeks on my client's nails.  I'll leave you to the pictures now:

What do you think? Have you ever tried stickers from Born Pretty Store?  You can now get them at 10% off by using the code EBABK31 at checkout!

NOTW: Royal Purple Satin

Here's the next nail polish from elf cosmetics' Autumn 2010 Collection... Purple Pleaser. Contrary to last week's NOTW, I opted for some subtle enhancement; not because I don't like the colour, but because I wanted to experiment a bit. Here are some before and after photos so that you can see what the colour really looks like on its own:

To achieve the final design, I used Nailene Bedazzle stickers in Super Star and I chose the tiara design and applied it on each of my ring fingers. I finished these fingers with glossy top coat whilst I applied elf Matte Finisher Top-Coat on the others. What do you think of this one sugar pies? Which do you think is best... the glossy or the matte finish? I still can't decide as it is the first time I am wearing matte varnish, but I do like the satiny look it imparts to my nails...

NOTW: Sparkles Garden

Hello my lovelies :) This is my first NOTW post and I decided to do something pretty, natural and summery. Here is what I used to create the design:

From left to right:

~ e.l.f. Clear nail polish (base coat)
~ florelle nail polish in white
~ cheap glittery polish
~ Elegant Touch Diamond Protect & Shine Top Coat
~ Revlon Cuticle Moisture Oil
~ nailene Bedazzle Nail Art Stickers in Super Star
~ nailene Perfect tips & toes French polish tip guides

So, let me go through the polish application. After pushing cuticles back with a cuticle pusher (I use nailene cuticle pumice sticks), I applied one coat of elf clear nail polish to serve as a base coat. After a couple of minutes to ensure it is dry, I stuck the tip guides (curved ones) to each nail to separate the tip from the rest of the nail. I normally don't use tip guides but I wanted to try these out so that I can review them later on. I then applied two coats of white nail polish to my nail tips.

When completely dry, I took off the guides and applied one coat of the sparkly nail polish. Next, I selected the stickers from nailene Bedazzle Super Star nail art stickers and stuck them to the ring fingers and thumbs. I finished the manicure with a coat of glossy top coat. Et voila! here's the final result:

What do you think ladies?
