Tassel Loafers and Leopard Print

Yesterday was just a perfect, sunny but not too warm day which would have been a total waste to not go out and enjoy it, so and me and the boyfriend took the opportunity to finish our Christmas shopping. The weather is precisely why I love Malta - it's almost Christmas but we still get days that feel like summer!

Having said that, I still get cold easily especially in the shade so I opted for a layered combination of top, jeans and a light coat. The outfit provided the perfect background for me to wear my new Fossil necklace and these River Island tassel loafers which I have been obsessed with from day one - they are so comfy and go with just about anything! I like how they elevate an otherwise casual outfit to something smarter and while I love my heels, sometimes flats are the better option.

October Collective Haul

October is my birthday month, hence as you would expect, I have treated myself quite a lot ;) With makeup being one of my biggest vices, I have spent a ridiculous amount of money bought quite a few pieces which I had my eyes on for quite some time, especially these lipsticks and blush from MAC.

I had been waiting for a restock at MAC to get these three lipsticks, left to right, Brave, D for Danger and Media. Luckily for me, on my latest visit to the store with Marija from Pocalocca, we found the staff taking the stock out from the boxes and luckily they had everything we wanted! The lipsticks cost €19 each.

One of the star pieces in this month's haul though is the Guo Pei x MAC Powder Blush in the shade Red Water Lily. Now I had to get this online as I haven't seen this collection locally yet and I really wanted to get my hands on it. Most of the collection, including this blush, sold out within a few hours on the MAC UK website so I had to resort to Ebay. Luckily I found a legit seller who was selling a brand new in box version of it and I bought the blush straight away! It set me back a little over €60 which is crazy I know, but just look at how gorgeous the packaging is! The top is even made out of silk! I shall be posting a review with more pictures and swatches of this blush soon so keep an eye out for that!

If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, you would know that my boyfriend really spoilt me for my birthday by gifting me the Rouge Louboutin lipstick in the Silky Satin finish. It is a luxury item which is not exactly cheap but is a nice, covetable item and something I wanted ever since I heard news of the range coming out, so thanks honey :)

More cosmetics which I got online include an order from KIKO Cosmetics, and an order from Makeup Revolution. From KIKO Cosmetics I got a backup of the Brush Cleanser, a Matte Muse Lipstick in the shade 06 Luxury Sangria from their latest limited edition Midnight Siren as well as a Rebel Bouncy Blush in 04 Passion Red Wine and two Intensely Lavish Lip Pencils in 05 Heavy Cherry and 06 Melodious Wine from the Rebel Romantic limited edition. If you are interested in the Rebel Romantic limited edition, I suggest you get it before it is gone.

From Makeup Revolution, I got some of their new stuff, namely the Ultra Cream Contour Palette, Ultra Contour Foundation Brush F302, Ultra Flat Contour Brush F304 and the Advanced Complexion Expert Sponges in both the soft and hard versions. They also included a tester of the Ultra Blush Palette in Hot Spice, so thanks for that!

I have also bought the Pupa Milano Animal Print Effect Top Coat from their Soft & Wild Collection for €6. Next week, I shall be reviewing this top coat along with the eyeshadows and lipstick which were kindly sent to me so you will be able to see more pictures.

Moving on to fashion, I only bought a few 'essential' pieces in a bid to try and save up for a large shopping spree in London (you see, clothes and accessories are also a big vice of mine!).

I got this pair of printed pants from Promod at just €14.97 on sale and I also bought a pair of white sneakers (€20), a backpack and this gorgeous set of stud earrings (€5), all from River Island. Then from Asos, I got this pair of holographic rose gold sneakers (€35) seeing I am currently obsessed with this metallic hue and this pair of mint sandals which were on sale for just €10.

Lastly, a little Mango spree where I bought this lace crochet top and this printed skirt for €39.99 each and a basic oatmeal button down cardigan for €17.99.

That's it for this month! Any favourite items you treated yourselves to?

September Collective Haul

With the weather getting a little colder, for me that means summer is over thus this month I couldn't resist not buying new clothes and accessories for autumn. As much as I hate winter and the colder days, I have to admit that I much prefer the warm colour palette of autumn hues such as burgundy, dark greens, rust, mustard etc along with the more tailored and sophisticated garments that keep us cosy all throughout so I always enjoy shopping at this time of year.

Luckily, some stores still had sales going on and I managed to grab a few bargains as well to complement this smallish haul. This month has also been good to me in terms of gifts for I got some cool accessories as gifts from events and people in my life. Read on to see what I got!

First up, Orsay! The brand has opened another flagship store at The Point in Sliema earlier this month and since I was invited to the event, I had to go and pick up some pieces ;) I have 352689741 Breton tops in my wardrobe yet I couldn't pass this half-sleeve one up. It was only €15.99 and the stripes are narrower than any other one I have (this is the main excuse I use whenever I buy a new top of the sort - the stripes are different). It features an off-the-shoulder fit and it is very comfy and obviously, goes with a lot of bottoms! I also picked up this embellished pink jumper for €29.99 and I look forward to wearing it once the weather gets colder. The tassel bracelet has been a favourite this month and it was only €5.99.

With my trip to London coming up, I decided to invest in a good pair of gloves and this gorgeous pair with faux leather quilted details and buckle caught my eyes at just €15.99 as did this reversible poncho or scarf coat, call it what you want. This feels so cosy that I could live all winter in it and it only cost €25.99. On the day of the event, a 20% discount was being given on all purchases and us bloggers were gifted with a scarf, a bag, a VIP card and the official Orsay look-book for this season. I really love the bag and scarf that were given to me and I have already been planning outfits to wear them with!

Aldo Shoes at Arkadia Gozo had an extra 20% on sale shoes so I bought the following pair for just €20 instead of €69!

Next I bought this pair of shorts from the newly opened Pimkie at Main Street Paola and this burgundy faux leather pencil skirt from Mango after having my eyes on them for a few weeks. I paid €25.99 for the shorts and €29.99 for the skirt.

While browsing the Asos sale, I came across this Vero Moda parka jacket which was I believe somewhere around €20. I think it is always good to invest in a good jacket and this is my first such investment this year ;)

Lastly, these are some gifts I got during this month: an Yves Rocher consolation prize for taking part in one of their Facebook competitons, a clutch bag and shoes set from Nilara, a Liu Jo nappa leather bucket bag which my boyfriend got me from his holiday in Spain and an & Other Stories candle that my brother got me from his trip to Holland.

April & May Collective Haul

Since I had little stuff to show you in April, I thought it better to combine the hauls for April and May in one post which is a little overdue. I also have a ton of Essence & Catrice products to show you so stay tuned for a separate haul post ;)

I will start with the beauty stuff first with a little package from Born Pretty Store. BPS are releasing new stamping plates every so often and I really wanted to get some of their new large plates. I chose the following plates as well as some cuticle tattoos, French tip guides and a flashing nail sticker.

Next, from The Body Shop I bought a Fuji Green Tea Bath Tea and Diffuser as well as travel size shower gels and a shampoo that I needed to stock upon.

Moving on to fashion, this is the biggest purchase in this haul, the dress I bought for my cousin's wedding in April. I'm in love with it and can't wait to wear it again! Later that day I found a pair of shoes from Debenhams which were on sale and the last pair in my size that match the dress perfectly!

More from Debenhams, I bought this gorgeous pair of yellow flats, this pair of light blue pumps and ankle boots, all of which were on sale and feel extremely comfortable. I also bought this sleeveless polo shirt and two pairs of black trousers, a cute beach romper and a gold cuff.

I also bought this mint belt from Debenhams and my first bikini of the season from Peacocks. I like the vintage feel to it and the colour is perfect for summer :)

The last two clothing items are from Miss Selfridge (white crop shirt) and OVS (blue sheer sleeveless blouse) which I can see myself wearing a lot in summer.

Finally, from Mango I found this gorgeous bag on sale and these gold bangles which are firm favourites of mine to jazz up an outfit.

June Collective Haul

Half the year is officially over. I honestly don't know how to feel about it all - part of me is glad that a jam-packed summer is here, part of me is also happy as when time flies it means you're having fun and a little part of me is sad that good times roll by so fast. So what do I do to avoid myself overthinking this dilemma? Shop of course! Here are all the pretty things I made mine over June.

Starting with cosmetics, I have bought quite a few polishes to add to my ever-growing collection. I bought China Glaze I Sea The Point and Angel Wings from a seller on Ebay for around €6 per polish as well as this gorgeous pink from Max Factor for €7.50 in the shade 104 Just Cheerful.

I have also added two new polishes from Essence to my collection, namely the shades 03 Glitz & Glam and 169 A Hint Of Love. These were €2.10 and €1.70 respectively. On my search for a good top coat, I have bought Sally Hansen No Chip Top Coat for €7.40.

To remain on the theme of nails, I have placed a small order on Born Pretty Store and I ended up getting the following items for just €20! So I got this cute small display book to store image plates in, a snowflake image plate (I know it's totally out of season but it's cute I couldn't resist!), shell decorations and two varieties of water decals.

Browsing the makeup stands at the hospital convenience shop really isn't making my wallet happy...the other day I caved and bought this gorgeous lippy from Max Factor in the shade 655 Lilac Wine. I wore it to a wedding I had last Saturday and boy I was impressed with the pigmentation and lasting power. I only reapplied out of habit, not because there was much need! This cost €13 but you really get what you pay for.

The last beauty-related purchases for this month are all courtesy of The Body Shop. I have some weekend breaks coming up soon and I decided to stock up on their travel-sized products while they were on offer for Buy 2 Get 1 Free. I bought the Mango Body Butter, Mango Body Scrub (€4.50 each), Mango Shower Gel (free), Rainforest Balance Shampoo, Rainforest Balance Conditioner (€3.95 each), Vanilla Bliss Body Polish (free). I also bought the Peppermint Foot Spray and Peppermint Reviving Leg Gel for €6 and €6.30 respectively.

Moving on to clothes, Mango has been quite a winning choice this month. I love the quality of their clothes and their fit and I just can't help not to shop each time I go into the store. I know it's still very early to start thinking about winter but I just couldn't resist this greyish white coat which was the very last one in my size. I paid €89.99 for it. Next is this gorgeous pair of super skinny super white trousers which I bought for €39.99. The fit is superb and I already have a good number of outfits planned around it.

More trousers from Mango...this time it's this black tailored pair that also came with a belt - a bargain for €29.99 if you ask me and again, the fit is excellent. My favourite pair is this printed relaxed one. I have been obsessed with anything blue lately and I couldn't leave this pair in the store. It cost €39.99.

The last purchase of the month are these flat slingbacks from Debenhams. They were only €26 and the holographic gold colour is what sold me. I tend to favour gold over silver so I am sure I will get a lot of wear out of these.
