Event | Coccinelle Spring Summer 2014 Collection...Do You Have The Winning Key?

Yesterday afternoon saw me wondering in the handbag heaven that is the chic Coccinelle boutique in Sliema, hoping the little key that was included with my invite would open one of the three boxes and see me walking away with some new arm candy.

Did you have the winning key?
Sadly, none of us bloggers were lucky enough to win any bags but we did walk out the store with a lovely scarf the management gifted us :)

Anyhow, I still took my time to browse the fabulous Spring Summer 2014 collection the brand has to offer. I was instantly drawn to the royal blues, bright yellows and reds and I seriously wanted one of each item in the store!

The details on the bags are exquisite...tassels, cut-out designs, all drool-worthy basically! I also loved the wallets and the scarves and I think I will be going back soon to treat myself to a little something.

UPDATED What's In My Bag?

It's been ages since I last did a 'What's In My Bag?' post and as I was looking for something different to have a short break from reviews, I thought of a couple of update kind of posts (I am also planning an updated skin care routine post).

The bag I have is this one by Coccinelle which is made of real leather and feels very luxurious. Being a neutral colour, it goes with almost anything and everything in my wardrobe and I have been using it extensively ever since I got it. It is very roomy inside and even comes with a shoulder strap but I prefer to hold it by the handles...it looks chicer that way! Of course, when I'm not using it, I always store it in its drawstring bag and the original bag it came in.

So, now onto the contents! It's all essentials basically like my Nine West wallet, Esprit makeup purse, tissues, La Roche Posay Cicaplast Mains Hand Cream, car and house keys, smart phone and diary and Platignum pen.

In the Esprit purse, I carry a few more essentials; so I have Nivea Vanilla and Macadamia Lip Butter, La Roche Posay Cicaplast Levres Lip Balm, Essence nail file, wide-toothed comb, perfume samples, Max Factor eye pencil, hair tie and clip, Pupa Shiny Lip Fluid 001 Princess Nude (or the lip colour I'm wearing on the day), bandaids, Zovirax, spec cleaning cloth, Paracetamol, multi-vitamins and of course a compact mirror.

Go on and share your bag contents ladies! I always enjoy these kind of posts!

Christmas Haul and Gifts

Hello everyone :) Finally I have some time to blog again.  Hope you got to spend Christmas in a special way with your nearest and dearest :) I spent more than half the day at work as I was on day duty but my colleagues haven proven to be the best on days like these and they make it all tolerable :) Then in the evening I had Christmas dinner with my family and Johan. Sadly me and Johan broke up on the eve of New Year's Eve but I still wanted to show you all the gifts I got and catch up on blogging once again :)

So, we opened the presents on Christmas eve and all I can say is a huge thank you to everyone :D I love everything I got though the highlight would have to be the Coccinelle bag that Johan himself gave me. I'll leave you to the pictures of everything I received and what I treated myself to :)

First up are this pewter metal bracelet and ring from Mango which my brother got me. I love them as they lend and edge to any outfit and they go with a lot of clothes in my wardrobe. Next is The Body Shop Coconut Butter, an all time favourite which reminds me of summer and the All-In-One BB Cream which I have already tried and love. I'm in shade 01, the lightest available and it is a perfect match for me when my skin is on its best behaviour.

Mum and Dad got me the cheesiest gift this year...three Yamamay undies which I had been eyeing for some time. I ended up getting the matching bra for the colourful one just because their underwear fits perfectly. How cute is the puppy one? :)

Moving on, my aunt got me this cosy midnight blue snood, something I have been looking for for some time now. Another gift I love is what I got from my Secret Santa at work is this beautiful organic cotton scarf in a very beautiful colour combination and a Belgian Chocolate soap.

And obviously I cannot skip the treats I bought for myself. I decided to go for some clothes from Mango this year. I love the store, they always have very cool stuff and I got to wear everything over the past month (except for the pants - they still have their tag on :P). The coat is my favourite piece and I even got it for a promotional price. The grey dress may look oversized but in reality it fits fantastically while the flowered one is more figure hugging and I love the leather details on the shoulders and around the neck.

That's it for Christmas gifts :) The last collective haul of 2013 is coming up shortly so stay on the look out for it!

Event | Coccinelle Boutique Opening

This weekend Malta has gone through a mild thunder storm which started on Friday. I wanted the skies to clear up badly because I hate rainy days I really wanted to go to the Coccinelle Boutique opening. Luckily, the weather permitted us to head to the store to enjoy the sight (and smell! God I love the smell of genuine leather goods which greets you as soon as you enter the store!) of leather bags in the exquisitely elegant setting of the small boutique on Tower Road in Sliema (the shop is located next door to Solaris).

Coccinelle is an Italian brand established in 1978 in Parma and today boasts stores all around the world. They manufacture their products with the modern woman in mind, hence the dynamic, glamorous and urban designs.

I was in attendance together with Marija from Pocalocca, Martina from All Things Fabulous and Dorianne from Ask Dorianne together with our better halves. We were all greeted with a glass of wine which kept flowing throughout the night along with tasty nibbles and desserts (including Ferrero Rocher chocolates!)

We browsed the Autumn/Winter 2013/14 Collection at our leisure while oohing and aahing over practically everything! My favourite bag was actually this gorgeous clutch bag... in all colours! I love the detailing on it and since it made of leather, I'm sure it will last a life-time!

Here are more bags from their collection for you to feast your eyes on!

Coccinelle also stocks a beautiful selection of leather belts, wallets to match your arm candy, scarves and jewellery as well as some cute key chains. The hat, gloves and belts sets caught my eyes as did the butterfly keyring.

I really like the chic and elegant layout and the way the stock is displayed in a very modern way all throughout the shop.

How cute is this Coccinelle cupcake which they gave us before we left?...and I can confirm it was very yummy indeed!

I had a really good time at this event and I can't wait to visit the store again store for a little Christmas treat to myself! I would like to thank the management for inviting us and wish them good luck on this venture!
