January & February Collective Haul

Phew it has been a hectic few days for me and I barely had time to switch on my laptop, let alone blog so please excuse my absence. Next week I will be flying to London for the first time in my life and I really have worked hard to restrain myself from buying all the good sale deals in order to save up for splurging there ;) Consequently I thought of doing one collective haul post for January and February since I didn't buy a lot of stuff. I did however treat myself to quite a few nail polishes but I will do a separate post on those.

The first purchase I want to share with you are these gorgeous boots from Nine West. I have been wanting a pair of heeled brown boots for a long time and now here they are! I got them on sale for €132 which I understand that it may be a little pricey for some but as long as the shoe is comfy and I know I will get a lot of wear out of, I put the price aside.

Next are a few sale bargains that I got from Jennyfer in Gozo and Asos (Caroline you're to blame for this one :p). I bought this faux leather skirt with laser cut-out details and scallop edges for just €7 (instead of €20) and the aviator jacket was marked down to €15 from €50 and they were both the last ones in my size - I would have been stupid to just leave them there! The Fashion Union dress from Asos was more of an impulse buy but at a mere €10 I think it's a nice little addition to my closet.

Next, here are some online purchases, all of which are from Ebay. I got a tangle teezer dupe as I already have one which I keep at work and I find it leaves my hair super soft, an XL stamper (more info coming soon), a flower ear cuff, a lipstick holder and NYX HD Concealer. I got the shade CW03 Light which is a perfect match for me.

During one of my lunch breaks at work, I caved and bought this gorgeous Max Factor Lipstick in 685 Mulberry and one of my quick trips to Sliema I popped into OVS and bought an assortment of Essence nail products, an Effect Lipgloss in the shade C04 Red Sugar and a cute pair of tweezers. From the NYX store, I bought the Jumbo Eye Pencil in 615 Slate and an Eye/Eyebrow Pencil in 924 Yellow, both of which I needed for carnival.

Stay tuned for a nail products haul coming soon!

December Collective Haul & Christmas Gifts

I have reserved the monthly collective haul and Christmas gifts as the first post of 2015, which I have to admit it is a bit late, but life just happened :) So, first of all, Happy New Year to all of you my loyal readers and I hope you enjoyed holiday season :) Last year has been very good to me and I hope 2015 will be as eventful (in a good way) as this past year has been. In the meantime, let's start the year with some pretty things :)

First up - shoes! These two Red Herring ballerina pumps were on sale for €9.31 each from €31 at Debenhams. I've already worn both of them especially the snake skin one which goes with so many outfits! The other pair is from Nine West and I bought it at full price for €99. I needed a pair of brown heels anyway so I got them before they were gone.

Moving on to clothes, I only bought this floral top from the Dorothy Perkins sale for €21 and this parka from F&F which I got for €48 instead of €60 during their official opening event. I've been living in it practically everyday especially these days when temperatures have dropped considerably compared to what we are used to!

December was definitely the month of cosmetics and beauty products as I got stuff from Inglot, The Body Shop and Yves Rocher to keep me smelling and good :)

Lastly, here's what I got for Christmas:

Starting from my family, I got some cash from my parents and my brother as well as a hair straightener as I needed to change my current one. My boyfriend bought me this beautiful Viventy ring which also serves as an anniversary gift and he surprised me with a Minion soft-toy when we opened our gifts at his parents' place :) My in-laws gifted me with vouchers that I already know where I will be spending as well as a jewelry organizer and my sister-in-law gave me this super cosy floral scarf. Our consultant at work gave us this cute Christmas tree shaped candle which complements my room decor nicely. Lastly, we had a secret Santa thing at work and I got this beautiful gold leaves bracelet and adorned travel mirror from Accessorize :)

What did you get for Christmas? Cheers to a Happy New Year to all!

May Collective Haul

We're nearing half the year already and that only means one thing...summer is fast approaching :D Consequently, this month's haul consists of new summer gear as well as some last chance wintry buys that I got on sale.

Online clothes shopping has become somewhat a new addiction especially from River Island. This is what I got:

The sweater is really comfy and it can be dressed up or down effortlessly. The best thing is I only paid €24 for it instead of €55. I also threw in this cute pair of pastel stud earrings and flower ring which cost €5 and €4 respectively.

In another order, I got these navy quilted plimsolls for €25, this floral print wrap shirt for €37 as well as these red and white crop tops for €20 and €33 respectively. Luckily for me and a whole lot of other fans, River Island has opened its doors again in Malta at The Point Shopping Complex last Saturday and I can't wait to pay a visit to see what the store has to offer!

More online shopping, this time from Boohoo.com. I finally found a jumpsuit that looks fine on me for a mere €38! The only issue I had with this is that it is a little more see-through than I would have liked but seamless skin-coloured underwear should do the trick! Also from Boohoo Boutique, I got this ethic print shirt for €30.

From New Look I bought this cute floral dress with a mesh panel on the front for just €29.99. I wore this to the Gagliardi fashion show (check out the post here). I also bought my second bikini (€21.98) for this summer as well as two Montagne Jeunesse Blemish Mud face masks for €1.25 each.

I have been on the look-out for a nice black blazer for some time now and thankfully, Mango answered my prayers with this beautiful number for which I paid €42.74 (with discount). I paired this blazer with the red crop top above and leopard print shoes below for the Bridal Fashion Show (check out the full outfit post here).

The last attire purchases are shoes...I bought this gorgeous pair of royal blue sandals from Nine West for €99. I know that for some they can come across as expensive but honestly, their shoes are worth every cent just because they are so comfortable. The grey leopard print ones are from Debenhams and they were marked down to €15.39 in their Blue Cross Sale and they were the last pair and in my size...I couldn't just leave them there could I?

Lastly, beauty purchases from The Body Shop. I always go crazy in there but I tried to restrain myself to only buy stuff I actually needed. So, I bought two body scrubs, Coconut, my all time favourite and Raspberry which smells divine and I also got two bath lillies. The salesgirl was also kind enough to give me a sample of each of the Mango Sorbet and Moringa Sorbet body creams. The scrubs were €12.50 each and the bath lillies €2.30 each.

Monthly Favourites: December

How are you all today? The year is officially at an end and as it so happens at the end of each month, here are my monthly favourites. I am also planning to do a series of Best of 2012 in terms of beauty products so let me know if you would like to see that kind of posts.

My most favourite item this month has been a fashion item, more specifically a pair of shoes, and even more specifically, a pair of boots. Enter the Nine West that my bf bought me for Christmas :)

They're the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned and I really like how they dress up an outfit effortlessly while at the same time lending it a bit of an edge.

Now on to cosmetics, starting with lip products. If you have a look at my OOTD posts, I rarely wear a single lip product, but I tend to pair up products more often than not. My favourite pairs this month have been Liptini Lip Liqueur in 4013 Pink Lady which stains the lips a nice dark pink colour together with Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss in 15 True Love & Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick in 190 The Nuder The Better and Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss in 08 Glamour To Go.

Moving on the eye department, I have quite a few products, most of which are new discoveries. With regards mascara, I have been reaching for Catrice's Glamour Doll Mascara mostly and when paired with RevitaLash Volumizing Primer, they give my lashes a whole new dimension. I also have a new favourite eyeshadow and glitter eyeliner, courtesy of Pupa Milano in Malta with which I did the NYE make-up in yesterday's post. You can also check out my full review on both products here. Lastly, since I have really been into neutrals this month, I opted for a brown kajal liner for everyday use and my favourite has been Catrice Kajal Designer in 150 Up&Brown&Up&Brown...

Next come the face and body products, namely Zadig & Voltaire Tome 1 - For Her La Purete and Burberry The Beat for perfumes and Napoleon Perdis Ultimate Contour Palette.  The palette is definitely my favourite contour tool as the bronzer is matte and matches my pale skin tone without looking too obvious and the blush is a pretty pink colour. The highlight provides a delicate pearly finish, perfect to emphasise cheekbones and your lips!

What were your end-of-year favourites ladies? Happy New Year to all!
