London Fashion Week is currently underway and I have partnered up with local photographer Gordon Formosa, from GoRaw Photography who is currently in London, to share with you the best of the runway shows from Fashion Scout. Fashion Scout is an international showcase for fashion pioneers and, one of the UK's largest independent portal for emerging and established designers during London Fashion Week. Fashion Scout is mostly renowned for championing, nurturing and showcasing creative fashion design talent from all around the world.
Malan Breton® was first on the agenda. This designer is new to me so I did some research to learn more about him and introduce him to you before showing you his S/S2020 collection presented during LFW on Friday the 13th of September.
Originally from Taipei, Taiwan (Republic of China), Malan Breton is the first designer to become a part of the cryptocurrency phenomenon, opening the first blockchain-based, online, retail shop in fashion, in partnership with Tokenly and SohoMuse. Being an upcoming designer, Malan Breton already a number of accolades under his belt from some of the most influential names in the fashion industry, such as being named by Vogue magazine the Most Influential Designer you never heard of! InStyle Magazine’s eighth most-tweeted fashion brand; "The Internet’s Fave Designer" by Yahoo News; "one of New York City’s most celebrated designers of the past decade" by the Amsterdam News and one of the Top three designers to come out of Taiwan. Impressive isn't it? As a designer Malan Breton® is the recipient of the 2016 FGI Rising Star Award in Menswear, the 2015 European Fashion Council’s Eirene Award and the 2015 and 2016 (Republic of China) Taiwan Tourism Award for contributions in fashion and media amongst other prestigious awards.

His collections span different realms such as clothing, fine jewellery, bridal wear and accessories for both men and women and can be found at department stores and speciality boutiques around the globe. Having apprenticed under the Royal Warrant, Breton is also known as a master of the made-to-measure suit and consequently, Malan has a steadfast global following of businessmen, career women, celebrities, politicians and Royals and is known in the UK as “The Master of the Women’s Suit.” In fact, Malan can proudly say he has dressed some of the world’s top entertainers including Ariana Grande, Priyanka Chopra, Nikki Minaj, Bebe Rexha, Michael Bublé, Minnie Driver, Kylie Minogue, BTS, Daniel Craig, Celine Dion and Scarlett Johansson just to name a few!
For his S/S2020 collection, Malan created beautifully intricate pieces for both men and women, intending for both genders to be seen and be stars of the show. Perfectly tailored suits, statement dresses, leather, ruffles, florals, this collection has it all! If I had to describe this collection in three words I'd go for edgy, glamorous and classy, do you agree? We see elements of 90's revival and hints of timeless classics in cuts and detailing, especially for the men's collection. As for the women's collection, I love the femme fatale couture looks as they will always be my favourite kind of gowns. From what I could gather from the photos, the show seems to have had a dance in it and I think it's a nice way to spice a runway up and showcase the designer's creations in all their glory! Bravo Malan Breton!
That's it for the first day, I look forward to share the rest of the shows with you all! Be sure to follow our pages to never miss a thing!
