NOTW: Bright Spring Nails (water decals)

Good morning ladies? How was your weekend?

Here's how I wore my nails during the week and as usual, the tutorial!

1. Start with a clear base coat and leave to dry.

2. For the ring fingers, I chose to use some water decals instead of hand painted nail art and I picked these green and blue flowers from Viva La Nails.  The colour I painted underneath is BYS Aqua Pool (2 coats).

3. Now for the other nails... Paint diagonally a lime coloured nail polish on half of your tip as if to make a slant French tip and leave to dry. Apply a second coat if necessary and leave to dry as well. Here I chose BYS Lime Spritz.

4. On the other half of the nail tip, paint a little triangle as shown in the pictures with the same colour you used for the ring fingers, just under the lime colour.  Be careful not to overlap. Leave to dry and apply a second coat if you so desire.

5. Define the borders with a grey striper polish and let dry.

6. Put on a coat of glossy top coat on all the nails and you're done!

Review: e.l.f. Studio Blush in Candid Coral

Good morning all! How are you today? I'm really loving the weather these days... longer days, always sunny and much much warmer!  In fact, today I decided to review the e.l.f. Studio Candid Coral Blush simply because its colour reminds so much of summer!

Let's look at the packaging first...

When you first get it, the blush is supplied in a sleek black box with a window to show you the colour.  After you take it out of the box, the product itself is packaged in a sturdy, sleek black compact, again bearing a window to see which colour you are picking out.  On opening, there is a nice sized mirror on the inside of the lid and you also get a protective film on the blush.

This blush is a nice alternative to my usual pink and since I do not like how peachy-toned blushes look on me, coral is a nice in-between shade to experiment with.  Furthermore, this particular one has some gold reflects in it so it is perfect for both day and night especially in summer.  With regards pigmentation, this blusher is nicely pigmented and the intensity can be built up gradually.  I use a fluffy dome-shaped brush to apply this for day and a denser flat-top brush to apply it for night.  The texture is also very easy to work with as it is not powdery at all.

This blush stays on for quite a long time so I highly recommend it especially for the price... €4 for 4.8g!! You can view the whole range and buy your favourite shades from the e.l.f. cosmetics website :)

Lepo Cosmetics samples have arrived!

Hello my lovelies, I hope you're all well! I just got back home from a lovely walk with daddy in this nice, summer-like weather to find some Lepo Cosmetics samples waiting for me.  These were sent to me by the lovely Aneliya from mibaonline.com.  This is a new company here in Malta and their products are organic and cruelty free and the name they come under is Lepo, an Italian brand.  I got the opportunity to try these products after I saw the company's facebook page where they asked people to send their details should they wish to receive samples.  I took this opportunity as I am looking for some new skin care products and I thought why not give a go to some organic products?  Here's what I got:

Eyeko Ambassador Gift Pack received!!!

So many things happened during this week and I haven't been able to blog about them straight away like I usually do! Last week, I got an email from Eyeko saying that I have made my first sale as an ambassador, meaning that someone used my code when checking out their order for the first time (if you are reading this post, please let me know who you are).  I was really pleased with this and I'm really grateful to this person :)

In fact, last Wednesday, I received my Ambassador Gift Pack.  Here's what was in it:

Butterflies on Gel Nails

Finally the internet is back!!! I don't know about you but I feel really disconnected from the world without internet, not to mention how much I missed blogging.  It was partly a good thing though as I didn't waste that much time and finished writing all my dissertation so I could afford to take the day off yesterday.  31st March is a National Holiday here in Malta (one of the 5 we celebrate) and me and Johan, together with my brother and his gf, attended the traditional Regatta boat races.  My town, Cospicua, is one of the seven teams that take part but sadly we didn't win :(

Anyways, last Wednesday, a client was due for a refill and she opted for a light pink colour on her tips and cute little butterfly stickers:

The pink is actually a mix of two shades and I really like how it turned out, especially the pearlized effect :) What do you think about this mani lovelies?
