Good morning ladies :) Today I have a skin care product review to share. As you can tell by the title, the spotlight will shine on high-end skin care brand Lierac Paris and their Tonique Éclat Vitamin Enriched Toner Face & Eyes which is a new product on the local market.
I have been testing this toner since the end of June as it was given to me at an event hosted by PharmaMT at their premises in Gzira to introduce the brand. Read on to see what I have to say about it!
The toner comes in a transparent orange plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. While I like the transparent bottle for obvious reasons, I am not a fan of the pump dispenser. Let me explain. I do appreciate the concept so as to control the amount of product that comes out but the company recommends shaking the bottle before use and when you do that, the toner will come splashing out of the pump nozzle. To prevent the product going to waste, I hold a cotton disc to the opening and shake the bottle with the other hand and that seems to do the trick; but an expensive brand like Lierac I prefer better packaging. Such packaging makes me hesitate to take the product with me while travelling.
The toner has a light-orange fragrance which I really like and it also contains botanical honey, detoxifying probiotics and poppy flower extracts. It is alcohol free and you can definitely feel that on your skin because the product takes longer to be absorbed.
For me, one or two pumps are enough as if I apply more, my skin would feel a little taut. What is different about this toner from others though, is the fact that you can use it at the end of make-up removal to remove any left-over traces, even on your eyes! After using this product for more than 2 months, my skin looks more radiant and I know it is definitely clean from make-up.
The Tonique Eclat has never irritated my eyes or my skin and I am trying to preserve it for as long as I can. However, with it being composed of mostly natural ingredients, I have to use it within 6 months.
I would recommend this toner to friends and family but I would warn them about the price tag this brand carries, although I think that 200mL is a good amount and will somehow justify the €19.78 price tag.
