Review | LIERAC Paris Gommage Douceur Exfoliating Cream Scrub

Last month, I was invited to the Lierac Paris introductory launch at the PharmaMT premises along with a few fellow bloggers as well as pharmacists who will be stocking the brand.

For those who have never heard of the brand, Lierac Paris was founded in 1975 by Dr.Cariel who put his skin expertise to the service of all women in the form of active phytotherpeutic dermo-cosmetic products targeted towards prevent and correcting signs of ageing. Active phytotherapy implies that Lierac unites the best of botanical active ingredients with the high standards of science into each and every one of its products.

During the launch we were given a rundown of all the products and we were also able to try different samples. Additionally, we were each given a few products to take home and try. Today I am going to review the first product, namely, the Gommage Douceur Exfoliating Cream Scrub.

First off, packaging. The scrub comes in a 50mL tube that is opaque lilac in colour so you have to hold it up against the light to see how much product is left. The scrub has a 6 month expiry period due to the natural ingredients present in it.

Now for the actual product...the texture is vey fine for a scrub, perfect for sensitive skins and the granules are actually jojoba beads.

Moreover, the scrub contains white clay (softening and soothing), mallow extract and linseed flower extract (both detoxifying, softening and soothing). The velvety cream texture makes this scrub ideal for all skin types. In addition, the product has a very faint, pleasant smell which I cannot quite describe.

I have been using this product twice a week for around three weeks and I have noticed that my skin looks instantly more refined and I haven't developed any allergies or irritations when using this scrub so I definitely like this facial scrub.
